Creative Arts Contest Rules

Be sure to read all criterea for your Division (A-G).

1. All divisions are open to anyone living in Texas.
2. All items must be made within the last year.
3. Entry fee is Adult $2.00 per item/Children $1.00 per item.
4. An acceptance committee appointed by the Directors of the Fair have the authority to accept or reject any article.
5. Judging in each division will be done by classification. Entries scoring from: 90-100 will be judged Class A 80-89 will be judged Class B 70-79 will be judged Class C Class A 3 points (Blue Ribbon) Class B 2 points (Red Ribbon) Class C 1 point (White Ribbon)
6. An exhibitor shall not exhibit more than one article in each class. Exhibitor must make all entries.
7. All entries must be checked in between 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Thursday, August 19, the afternoon before the opening day of the fair. No entries will be accepted before or after these hours. Judging will be done following entry.
8. Entries must be checked out by 2:00pm Sunday, August 29. No art will be released prior to Sunday, August 29, at 2:00pm.
9. Every article will be under the supervision of the superintendent. Every possible step of care will be taken to prevent, damage, or any loss, but in no case will the Fair Association, or any Fair Official, Superintendent, or Assistant Superintendent be responsible for any damage or loss that might occur to any article entered in the Creative Arts Department. There will be security on the grounds at all times.
10. No article made by a professional will be accepted.
11. NOTE: PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE YOUR ITEMS PICKED UP AT 2:00 PM ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 29th. ALL ITEMS LEFT AFTER 2:00 PM ON SUNDAY WILL BE DISCARDED!
